During The Makeup Show Los Angeles 2014 Part 2, I hauled couple of products.

Here are the products I purchased. For this post, I will review the NARS lip pencil from the Final Cut Collection in the middle right. From the salesperson, it started selling at NARS that day March 1st.

Thoughts: When I saw the display, I was drawn to the pencils. The first and the only one I grabbed was Villa Lante. The salesperson told me they started selling this product today. That sold me!
Here's a closer look at the color. It's such a gorgeous pink! The website describes the color as "Cherry blossom pink." I don't know if I agree or disagree. I have no idea what that means. Not only that, the website has a story for the product. "SEX FANTASY. FINAL CUT. A modern montage of passionate and provocative hues - a NEW ATTITUDE in pink."
Here's a swatch of the color. It's more towards cool tone.

Now for how it looks on me...
This is a great spring/summer color.
Here's an overall look on me.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's a slight scent when you smell it with you nose. I'm not too sure how to describe the scent. It's very bland. When you apply the color on your lips, you hardly notice any scent. Secondly, the consistency of the product is very creamy. It goes on smoothly and there's no snug on the lips. I love how it doesn't take that much work to apply the color and best of all, it's pigmented. With that said, I wish it was more a pencil you twist. Unfortunately, you do have to sharpen the pencil. I noticed when it comes to sharpening or at least for me, you lose some color. Of course, not that much. I wouldn't mind if it was a drugstore but being a higher-brand, you kind of feel like you lose money. Okay, maybe it's just me. :X Anyways going back to the consistency, the lip color isn't sticky. It feels like a lip balm, creamy and smooth. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same affect as a lip balm. It's not hydrating, but at the same time, it's not drying. Since I have a dry lip, anything that doesn't dry my lips is a huge plus. Lastly, the lasting power is until you eat or drink.

Pros:
* Comes in a variety of colors.
* Sleek packaging.
* No scent while applying.
* Creamy consistency.
* Not sticky.
* Not drying.
* Lasts until you eat or drink.

Cons:
* Limited edition.
* Need to sharpen.
* Kind of pricey.

Would repurchase: Yes.

I love how it looks so creamy...but hate how you have to sharpen it! For the price you pay I would hate wasting any product when sharpening.
