Please don't forget to enter Pacifica Eyeshadows Giveaway. It ends April 26, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

In January 2016, I went to Generation Beauty LA and got bunch of products and samples.

Here's what I got. I already reviewed Benefit They're Real! Mascara (top middle), Laneige BB Cushion in Light (top middle), Pixi in Wakeup Wisteria nail polish (bottom right), and Too Faced Melted Chocolate in Chocolate Milkshake (bottom middle).
I received some NYX products. For this post, I will review their highlighting palette.

Thoughts: I actually got this from the NYX machine. You tweet a number they give you and they shoot out a product. The volunteer/worker told me they hardly shoot out the illuminating palette. Most of the products in the machine were the blushes. For that reason, I was more excited to try this product!
Here's how the palette looks open.
Here's a closer look at the seven illuminating products.
Here's a closer look at one of the illuminating products; bottom middle.

Now for swatches...
Here's the top four from the palette on my hand from left to right.
Here's the bottom three on my hand from left to right.
Here's how the illuminating product look on my cheek. I'm not too sure which product I used but I think it's the bottom right.
I usually don't post my whole face but I wanted to show the illuminating products on my face. I applied it on the high points of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, the tip of my nose, and Cupid's bow.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I wouldn't say it's travel-friendly. It doesn't come with a mirror unless you carry one. Since I apply the illuminating palette at home before I go out, this is friendly to me. With that said, I wouldn't say it's completely compact. I can see it crack if you drop the product. Secondly, it's not powdery! After trying e.l.f. Illuminating Palette, I was kind of scared to try this product. e.l.f. Illuminating Palette was so powdery even if I dip my brush into the product, the powder went everywhere. Thankfully, this palette wasn't like that. If I moved my brush in the product, I did see slight powder. It wasn't bad though to the point of it being all over the place. If you dip the brush into the product and not move it, you won't see any powder. With that said and third, the product is opaque. You don't need to do much with the product. Just dipping the brush into the product is good enough to grab the product. Fourth, the product doesn't make you look oily! It makes you look dewy. Since I have dry skin, I'm all about dewy than matte. In my personal opinion, I think matte face makes people look older or at least it does for me. For that reason, I've been about the dewy look. Then again, it might be seeing all the Korea actresses and singers. In Korea, it's all about dewy face and skin. If you have oily skin, I can see it getting oilier throughout the day. With that said, the shine isn't only on the top layer. I hate products where once the top layer is removed, it's matte. It avoids the whole concept of the product. Lastly, it lasted all day on me. It did not fade throughout the day.

Pros:
* Not powdery.
* Pigmented.
* Makes me look dewy.
* Shine is not only on the top layer.
* Does not fade.
* Long-lasting.

Cons:
* Not travel-friendly; can see it crack if dropped.
* No mirror.
* Might not be good for oily skin.

Would repurchase: Yes.
